Passport of Dr Zakir Naik revoked

New Delhi: After getting directions from the Ministry of External Affairs, the Regional Passport office, Mumbai today revoked the Indian passport of Dr. Zakir Naik.

According to the NIA official, Zakir Naik was served notice under 160 CrPc thrice to join the investigations in different cases registered against him related to hate speech and anti national activities, which he did not join. “Following which NIA Special court on April 21 issued a non bailable arrest warrant against him. Following which the NIA further requested the Ministry of External Affairs to revoke his passport,” said the NIA official. (UNI)
