Patanjali products now available online

New Delhi: Yoga guru Swami Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurveda has launched its own e-commerce portal to make available all its products online with a new slogan “Haridwar to Har Dwar”.In a press conference on Tuesday, Swami Ramdev announced the online entry of the FMCG brand which has entered into an agreement with e-commerce giants to give a big push to the online sale of its Swadeshi range of Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).Patanjali Ayurveda's products will now be available on online websites, including- PayTM Mall, Big Basket, Flipkart, Grofers, Amazon, netmeds, 1mg, Shopclues, and others.

Also announcing the agreements with the said companies, Swami Ramdev said that the online mechanism aims to provide convenient and efficient option along with the extension of the traditional retail market.He said that utmost care has been taken to ensure (the) Swadeshi movement and it has been ensured that Patanjali products reach into every home without compromising on policies and business ethics. 

Swami Ramdev said that Patanjali has online sales target of Rs 1000 to 2000 crores in the first year as it has achieved sales of more than Rs 10 crores in the month of December during the trial phase of the portal. The company estimates that the share of online sales will contribute 15 percent of Patanjali's total turnover in coming years, without specifying the timelines.

Acharya Balkrishna, Managing Director and CEO, Patanjali Ayurveda said the new mechanism would help to reach people who prefer to use online platform for shopping more these days. "It would reach those who do not have access to the point of purchase and they are looking for alternate mechanism to shop and can get Patanjali products at home, and provide most efficient and convenient digital shopping experience,"On the occasion, Vijay Shekhar Sharma", founder of Paytm said that Patanjali has bring about a revolution in the country with what they are doing and we are very proud of it. I think with this association, Patanjali products will reach to every household not just across the country but across the globe.(UNI)
