New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices rose again on Friday. While petrol prices in the country are currently at record levels, diesel prices are also at historically high levels except in the National Capital.
According to Indian Oil Corporation, the largest oil marketing company in the domestic market, petrol in the national capital Delhi today became costlier by 30 paise and its price reached Rs 86.95 per liter. Petrol in Mumbai rose by 29 paise to Rs 93.49 while in Kolkata it increased by 29 paise to Rs 88.30 per liter.
Its price in Chennai increased by 26 paise and one liter of petrol sold for Rs 89.39. Petrol has crossed Rs 93 for the first time in Mumbai and Rs 89 per liter in Chennai for the first time. The price of diesel rose 30 paise to Rs 77.13 per liter in Delhi, which is a record level after 30 July 2020.
Diesel price rose 32 paise to Rs 83.99 in Mumbai, 29 paise in Chennai to Rs 82.33 and in Kolkata it rose 30 paise to Rs 80.71 per liter.
