Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asked the people to take nine resolutions, including to support at least one poor family, to use Made in India products and to create awareness on water conservation.

While addressing an event after inaugurating Swarved Mahamandir here, the PM said, "Last time I put five things before you. Today I am keeping nine resolutions before you. First save every drop of water and make the maximum number of people aware towards water conservation. Secondly, create awareness among people in villages towards digital payment. Teach them about how to make online payments."

He asked the people to work to make their village, locality and city number one in cleanliness. "Promote local products as much as you can and use Made in India products. Fifth, first tour the entire country and then think about visiting a foreign country. I even ask the rich people why they organise marriage in a foreign country," he said.

Modi asked the people to create as much awareness as they can about natural farming as it is an important campaign to save mother earth.

"The seventh one is to include millet, 'Shri Anna', in your routine diet. Promote it as much as you can as Shri Anna is a superfood. The eighth one is to make fitness an integral part of your lifestyle. And the ninth and the last one is to support at least one poor family and help them. It is very important to alleviate poverty in the country," he said. (UNI)
