New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tributes to India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary.
Nehru was a principal leader of the Indian nationalist movement in the 1930s and 1940s. Upon India's independence in 1947, he served as the country's first prime minister for 16 years.
Modi posted on X (formerly known as twitter), the PM said, "Tributes to our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru Ji on his birth anniversary." (UNI)
