New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary.
In a tweet in Hindi, the Prime Minister said, “Tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a great freedom fighter and a true son of Mother India, on his birth anniversary.”
“A grateful nation will always remember his sacrifice and dedication for the independence of the country,” Mr Modi said.
The Centre has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as ‘Parakram Diwas’ on January 23 every year.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born on this day in 1897. (UNI)
