PM Modi plants Sindoor sapling at his residence on World Environment Day

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a Sindoor sapling at his 7 Lok Kalyan Marg residence here on the occasion of World Environment Day on Thursday.

The plant was gifted to him recently by the women from Kutch, Gujarat, who had displayed extraordinary courage and patriotism during the 1971 India-Pakistan war, said a government statement here.

Recalling his visit to Kutch, the Prime Minister posted on X, “This plant will remain a strong symbol of the valour and inspiration of the women power of our country.”
