New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday highlighted the danger of "digital arrest" and assured the citizens that all the investigative agencies are working together to deal with such a menace.

"Friends, I’ll reiterate that there is no system like digital arrest in the law; this is just a fraud, deceit, a lie, a gang of criminals, and those who are doing this are enemies of society," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while addressing his 115th Mann Ki Baat.

He assured that to deal with the fraud that is going on in the name of digital arrest, all the investigative agencies are working together with the state governments.

The Prime Minister also enumerates the three steps to digital security, 'Stop, Think, Take Action," and asks the citizens to dial the national cyber helpline 1930 or report the matter on cybercrime.gov.in.

He also urged schools and colleges to involve students in the campaign against cyber scams. "We can fight this challenge only with the collective efforts in society," he further added.

Reflecting upon the "self-reliant India" campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "It has not only become our policy. It has become our passion."

The Prime Minister mentioned Asia's largest 'imaging telescope, MACE' in Hanle, Ladakh, located at an altitude of 4300 meters, and said the Hanley telescope may be looking at a distant world, but it is also showing us the power of self-reliant India."

Prime Minister Modi also reminded the countrymen to strengthen the campaign of "Aatmanirbhar Bharat," especially in the time of the festival season.

He said, "We do our shopping with the mantra of Vocal for Local."

He further added that this is the new India, where Make in India has become Make for the World. We not only have to make India self-reliant but also establish our country as a global powerhouse of innovation."

The Prime Minister also talked about the booming animation sector in India and said, "We must resolve to make India a global animation powerhouse.".

“India’s animation studios are working with world-famous production companies. Today, our youths are creating original Indian content that has a reflection of our culture," he said.

He said the animation sector has today taken the form of an industry that is giving strength to other industries. Like, VR (virtual reality) tourism today is getting famous.

In his Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi also discussed two "great heroes" of the nation, Sardar Patel and Birsa Munda, and said the country has decided to celebrate their 150th birth anniversary. Both these great men had the same vision—the country’s unity."
