New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Monday hold another meeting with chief ministers of various states, through video and, to discuss the situation in the country due to COVID outbreak, his fifth meeting with the CMs since the announcement of the lockdown.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold the 5th meeting via video-conference with state Chief Ministers tomorrow afternoon at 3 PM,” the PM office said in a tweet.
The meeting will be the fifth since the lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus started on March 25.
The meeting is expected to hold discussion on the easing of the lockdown, which is expected to end on May 17.
The Centre has said that the lockdown will be lifted in phased manner in areas other than the areas that are in containment zones.
Over the last few weeks, many states have eased restrictions in Green and Orange Zones, allowing opening of areas like agriculture, construction activity and MNREGA.
Earlier on Sunday, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba held a video conference with Chief Secretaries and Health Secretaries of all the states and Union Territories. (UNI)
