'PM Narendra Modi' to release on Apr 11

New Delhi:After a postponment of its release due to delay in clearance of the censor board,  Omung Kumar's 'PM Narendra Modi', the biopic on the life of the Prime  Minister, will now be releasing on April 11, producer Sandip Singh said on Friday.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the producer said,"'PM Narendra Modi' is Officially releasing on 11th April 2019.
 
Vivek Oberoi tweeted, "Thank you to each and every one of you for your blessings, love and support.  Thank you to the Indian Judiciary. We hope you like the film and that it inspires you all! #PMNarendraModi  Jai Hind @OmungKumar @sandip_Ssingh  @sureshoberoi @anandpandit63 @TSeries?.
 
Omung Kumar tweeted, "Thank you everyone for your support. Here's the date when our film #PMNarendraModi will be releasing. 11th April". Jai hind. incidentally, the release of the film coincides with the first phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections.
 
The film, which was earlier scheduled for release on April 5, was postponed due to delay in clearance by the Censor board.
 
The movie has been wrapped in controversy with the opposition parties, including the Congress, have contended that the release of the film during the election period amounts to a violation of the model code of conduct. However, the DEc has given a go-ahead for the release of the film.
 
Directed by Omung Kumar, the movie traces Narendra Modi's evolution through  various phases of his life, including his enrollment in the RSS, his long stint as Chief Minister of Gujarat, and his elevation to a national role in 2014.(UNI)
