New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a General Manager rank officer of the Punjab National Bank posted at Delhi in connection with the Rs 11400- crore scam involving Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.He was arrested by the probe agency late last night.
According to the agency sources, Rajesh Jindal was the then manager of the PNB's Brady House branch in Mumbai during 2009 - 11, where the whole issuance of the letters of undertaking (LOU) to Nirav Modi's firms took place during his tenure.Mr Jindal is currently posted as GM credit, at the PNB head office in the national capital.On Tuesday night, the CBI also arrested five officials of the Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi's companies.(UNI)
