Portion of Thajwas glacier collapses in Sonamarg, 2 tourists rescued, local sledge puller's body retrieved (VIDEO)

Srinagar: The body of a local sledge rider who went missing after a portion of the Thajwas glacier at tourist spot Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district collapsed was retrieved on Monday.
 
The deceased has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Khan, a resident of Haknar Gund.
 
The body has been taken to the Public Health Centre in Sonamarg for the necessary legal medical formalities by the police.
 
However, the tourists were rescued immediately by the people.
