New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind has undergone a successful bypass surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences here, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh informed through social media.
“I congratulate the team of Doctors for successful operation. Spoke to Director AIIMS to enquire about Rashtrapatiji’s health. Praying for his well-being and speedy recovery,” Mr Singh tweeted.
President Kovind was admitted at the Army Research & Referral Hospital on March 26 after he felt chest discomfort.
After the President was stable, he was referred to AIIMS for further investigation. (UNI)
