Prez Kovind, PM Modi, Vice President extend Diwali greetings

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Ministers and other leaders on Thursday greeted the people on the occasion of Diwali.

Extending his greetings and warm wishes to the countrymen, the President in a tweet in Hindi said, "Diwali is the festival of victory of good over evil. This is the festival of light over darkness. Let us celebrate this festival in a clean and safe way and pledge to contribute to protect the environment."
