Prez, PM, Pranab, Manmohan, Sonia pay tributes to Vajpayee

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Senior BJP leader L K Advani, former President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and former Congress president Sonia Gandhi were among those who paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Mr Kovind, Mr Modi, Mr Advani, Dr Singh and Ms Gandhi paid floral tributes to the former Prime Minister at the latter's residence in Delhi at Krishna Menon March, where his body had been brought from AIIMS.
 
Also among those who paid tributes to the departed leader were Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju  and senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi.
 
Vajpayee died at AIIMS on Thursday evening after a prolonged illness.The body of Vajpayee will be kept at his residence till tomorrow when it will be taken to the BJP headquarters at Deendayal Upadhyay Marg for common people to pay their last respects.The last rites will be held at 1600 hrs on Friday.(UNI)
