New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday initiated a probe after a photograph appeared showing self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa seated on the Station House Officer's chair at Vivek Vihar police station in Delhi. Vivek Vihar SHO Sanjay Sharma was sent to the lines. The probe will be headed by Additional DCP Shahdara, police chief spokesperson Dependra Pathak said.

Some other police personnel accused of unprofessional conduct have also been sent to lines, he added. Further, upon investigation, suitable action will be taken, the senior officer said. During Navratri on the night of September 28, Sharma allegedly welcomed Radhe Maa, while she had come to attend a Ram Lila nearby. The photograph went viral on the social media that triggered criticism towards the Delhi Police. After the inquiry was ordered, a CCTV footage from the police station was also collected, the police said. (UNI)
