New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday took a dig at the Centre over hike in price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder.

Citing that the price of a LPG cylinder during the Congress-led UPA government was Rs 410, while in the BJP regime Rs 999, he said, "Two cylinders then for the price of one now."

"Only Congress governs for the welfare of poor and middle class Indian families. It's the core of our economic policy," the former Congress president wrote in a tweet.

The price of LPG was increased by Rs 50 on Saturday. The Congress party demanded that the government should bring the LPG prices down to the 2014 level. (UNI)
