Jaipur: Students up to class 12 in private schools in Rajasthan will now get free education under Right to Education (RTE).
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday approved the proposal to reimburse fees of students studying under the Right to Education (RTE). It will cost Rs 46 crore.
There is a provision of free education only for students of classes 1 to 8 through RTE.
In the last budget, Shri Gehlot had made a provision to continue free education for girl students in private schools from class 9 to 12 at the expense of the state government.
In this sequence, now students will also be provided free education from class 1 to 12 when they take admission in private schools under RTE.
It is noteworthy that an announcement in this regard was made by the Chief Minister in the budget for the year 2023-24.
