New Delhi: The face of Ram Lalla's idol has been revealed ahead of the Ram Mandir's 'Pran Pratishtha' to be held on January 22 in Ayodhya.
The 51-inch statue, carved by sculptor Arun Yogiraj, depicts Lord Ram as a five-year-old child in a standing posture. It is black in color and weighs two tonnes.
The idol of Ram Lalla was placed inside the Ram Janmabhoomi temple’s sanctum sanctorum on Thursday afternoon.
The consecration ceremony will begin at 12:20 pm and is expected to be completed by 1 pm on January 22 and will be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
