Mumbai: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday kept the benchmark interest rate unchanged at 4 per cent for the 11th time in a row as it continues to maintain its accommodative stance in the backdrop of rising inflation.
The Monetary Policy Committee, which met from April 6-8, has unanimously decided to keep the benchmark lending rates unchanged at 4 per cent, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said while announcing the bi-monthly monetary policy.
The reverse repo rate also continues to remain unchanged at 3.35 per cent. This is the first MPC meeting of the RBI for the financial year 2022-23. (UNI)
