Really! Elections in UP again in November!

Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court today ordered the Uttar Pradesh Election Commission and the Yogi Adityanath government to conduct municipal elections in November this year. During the hearing, the UP government while presenting the schedule and dates of the elections, submitted that delay in the poll process had occurred due to complaints filed in the court.
 

A division bench of Chief Justice D B Bhosale and Justice M K Gupta, gave the direction on a Public Interest Litigation, filed by one Ramlakhan Yadav. The Advocate General said the state government would complete the formalities and forward it to the EC. The state Election Commission said after the completion of formalities, the state government needs 35 days to conduct the polls. (UNI)
