Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said Centre government should bring a law to build Ram Mandir at the disputed Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya.
Speaking at his annual Vijayadashami speech in Nagpur, he said that the temple should have been built already and urged the Supreme Court to give its decision soon.

Throwing his weight behind the Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr Bhagwat said that a law should be brought in by the government for building the Ram temple. "People are questioning why the temple is not being built, despite their chosen government being in power," he said.

"The temple should have been built by now, but political parties are doing politics over it. Ram is our lord and his path still guides us," Mr Bhagwat said.

He also urged people to vote for the party as they will bring India together and not break it apart, laying to rest all speculation on whether the Sangh will join the campaign for the Lok Sabha next year or maintain its appearance as an apolitical outfit.

As the Sabarimala temple issue is simmering, RSS chief said that men and women were treated equal there. "We should have built consensus. The devotees should have been consulted," he said.(UNI)
