Mumbai: The Rupee continued to slid as it was at new record of 81.51, sinking 52 paise against US Dollar on Monday, in opening trade on brisk demand for US Dollar from bankers and importers, dealer informed.
The greenback rose sharply to multi-year highs against most major currencies, fearing of a global recession from the rising borrowing rates worldwide.
The Indian currency registered intra day high and low at 81.56 and 71.45 respectively. (UNI)
