SC bans sale of fire crackers during Diwali in Delhi, NCR

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday said that no fire crackers would be sold during Diwali this year in Delhi and the NCR, and reimposed ban on their sale till November 1, 2017.

A bench of the Apex Court, headed by Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri said ban on fire crackers in NCR would be in force till November 1 this year and could be sold thereafter. It needs to be examined whether the ban would improve the air quality and can be continued or not. (UNI)
