SC defers plea on deportation of Rohingyas, Bangladeshis for 4 weeks

New Delhi:The Supreme Court on Thursday deferred for four weeks a PIL seeking identification and deportation of all illegal immigrants and infiltrators, including Bangladeshis and Rohingyas.
A three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde, said it will hear the matter after four weeks.The bench also comprised of Justices Sanjeev Khanna and Surya Kant.
 
The plea, filed by lawyer and BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay, has sought a direction to the Centre and the state governments to identify, detain and deport all illegal immigrants and infiltrators, saying that they were taking away bread and butter of Indian citizens.(UNI)
