Srinagar: Three militants, involved in the abduction and murder of trainee police constable Mohammad Saleem Shah, were killed in a fierce encounter with security forces in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dr S P Vaid said the encounter occurred in the wee hours in which three militants were killed.
The militants’ bodies and weapons have been recovered, he said.
Earlier, he had said the militants, involved in the abduction and murder of trainee police constable Mohammad Saleem Shah yesterday, are trapped in Kulgam, where security forces have launched search operation. (UNI)
