'Seene mein jalan ... kyon hai'; Rahul attacks Del Govt, Centre on pollution

New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a swipe at the Delhi Government and the Centre for their inaction to tackle rising air pollution in the National Capital.

Taking to twitter, Rahul, quoting a famous couplet 'seene mein jalan, Aankhon mein toofan sa kyun hai, is shehar mein har shaks pareshan sa kyun hai' , asked the Delhi Government and the Centre as to why they were feigning ignorance despite being aware of the situation.'Kya Batayenge Saheb, sab jaankar anjaan kyon hain' (will you tell us why you seem to be ignorant despite being aware of the situation),'Rahul tweeted.

He also posted on his social media account a news clipping that said that every year 18 lakh people in India die of air pollution.There has been increasing criticism of the Delhi Government and the Centre for failing to tackle the severe air pollution in the capital after thick smog enveloped the capital city. (UNI)
