Mumbai:The BSE benchmark Sensex reacted positively before the Union Budget presentation in Parliament on Monday, as it opened 443 points higher and reached at 46,728.83.
The NSE Nifty too showed the same trend and rose by 114.85 points, touching 13,749.45.
In terms of percentage, Sensex registered a 0.96 per cent rise while Nifty 0.84 per cent.
The main gainers were ICICI, HDFC, IndusInd Bank and Titan.On Friday, the sensex ended at 46,285.77, 588.59 points down and Nifty closed at 13,634.60 after registering a fall of 182.95 points.Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Budget, the first after Covid-19 outbreak which created havoc on both-- health and economy.(UNI)
