Shocking! 2 year old daughter allegedly beaten to death by pregnant mother

Palghar:The Virar Police under the MBVV Police commissionerate on Monday registered a case under section 302 of the IPC against a pregnant woman for allegedly beating to death her two year old daughter the police said.

The PRO of the MBVV police commissionerate said that the process of arresting the accused is under way.He said that the victim, Nancy Soni, aged two had died on Saturday and the mother told the police that she fell down accidentally and died.

The police then registered a case of accidental death, but the neighbours informed the police that there was something fishy in the entire case.The body of the victim was sent for postmortem report of which was received on Monday which stated that the child died due to injuries on her person.

The police later probed and registered the offence of murder against the accused Neha, 22, who is pregnant and wife of a auto rickshaw driver residing in Virar.

The police said that the couple besides the victim had one more daughter aged one Asha.

The motive behind the brutal killing of the daughter is still not not known and being probed by the police it was stated.(UNI)
