Nanded: In a shocking incident, at least 24 critically-ill patients have died in 24 hours at Shankarao Chavan Government Medical College & Hospital here due to alleged scarcity of medicines.
Among the dead, there were 12 newborn babies, sources said on Monday.
It was stated that government hospitals across the state are facing a shortage of medicines. Due to this, patients have not been getting medicines on time, as a result, critically-ill patients are losing their lives.
Haffkin Institute, which supplies medicines to all government hospitals in the state, has stopped buying medicines. Becaise of this, there is a huge shortage of medicines in government hospitals across the state. (UNI)
