Lucknow: Extending their mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) out of Uttar Pradesh (UP),Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahajun Samaj Party (BSP) on Monday announced that they would contest coming Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Uttarakhand in the alliance.
According to the press release, of these 29 seats of MP, SP would contest only on three seats- Balaghat, Tikamgarh, Khujarao- while rest 26 would be contested by the BSP.Similarly in Uttarakhand, SP will contest only one seat of Garwahal (Pauri) while rest four seats would be contested by BSP.
In UP, BSP contesting on 38 seats and SP in 37 while 5 seats are left for other parties, including 2 for the Congress.(UNI)
