Jolt for Akhilesh, SP MLC resigns from UP Legislative Council

Lucknow: Senior Samajwadi Party MLC Bhukkal Nawab today tendered his resignation from the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. Mr Nawab told mediapersons here that he has handed over the resignation letter to council Chairman Ramesh Yadav.

Though he did not mention any reason for his resignation, reports said that there were several cases of land grabbing pending against him beside cases of falsely receiving compensations on state government's land. (UNI)
