Bhopal:In a step that is certain to achieve the twin objectives of boosting commercial activities and making weekends livelier for the populace, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Saturday that Sunday Corona curfew is being lifted with immediate effect across the state.
“Businesspersons who are desirous of opening their establishments and continuing other economic activities on Sundays as well are at liberty to do so while adhering to COVID protocol in letter and spirit. However, night curfew shall continue to be in force. We have succeeded in reining in the contagion as 35 (of the total 52) districts did not report a single fresh instance and – for the first time – active cases dropped below the 1,000 figure. Positivity declined to 0.06 per cent,” the senior politician conveyed via social media.
MP gets another COVID Care Centre
Amidst apprehensions of a third wave of the novel coronavirus, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Saturday that his government and administration are gearing up to combat the situation, it was officially learnt.
“The populace is being ceaselessly motivated to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour. Adequate oxygen beds, children’s Intensive Care Units, equipment and essential material are being ensured at all health institutions. Public cooperation and private sector participation are being obtained,” the senior politician averred while addressing the online inauguration of a 60-bedded COVID Care Centre set up by the Lupin Foundation in Raisen District’s Mandideep.
Pointing out that Mandideep is a major industrial centre, the veteran leader assured that an infirmary shall be established there in the near future for convenience of the proletariat.(UNI)
