Super 30 fame Anand Kumar named Honorary Ambassador of Korean Tourism

New Delhi: In a rare honour, Anand Kumar, the founder of Super 30, has been named the Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism from Korea for 2024.
 
The agreement being signed in New Delhi on Wednesday. Anand will also travel to South Korea for the official designation event at the Seoul office of the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO).
 
Regional Director for India and SAARC Countries, KTO, Myong Kil Yun, said, "Anand Kumar, who has been quite popular in South Korea due to his pioneering Super 30 initiative, also saw the best-seller book on his life published in Korean language. The movie 'Super 30' starring Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan was made on the life of Anand Kumar."
 
He said that Anand Kumar's pioneering educational project would encourage talented students to pursue the opportunities available in South Korea. “It will offer an opportunity to Indians, specially the students in the age group of 14–18, to explore Korea’s vibrant culture, historic landmarks, and delightful cuisine, creating lasting memories. Parents can also nominate their children for the Korea Super 30 programme by filling out the application form," he said.
 
Anand Kunar's appointment as Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism is crucial in strengthening ties with South Korea through cultural exchanges and educational opportunities.
South Korea has also developed the Korea Super 30 travel packages to allow young students to visit the nation without bother, discover opportunities, and become acquainted with the culture.
 
Anand Kumar said it was a good initiative in modern times to give students the much-needed exposure of a technologically advanced country. "For me, it will be a new experience to be part of a student exchange programme at the international level. In modern times, distance does not matter. I am looking forward to this new campaign," he said.
 
Anand Kumar said that becoming the Honorary Ambassador of Korean Tourism recognises all Indian teachers, not only him. "It also shows the respect an educationally advanced nation like South Korea gives to teachers," he said.
