Tamil Nadu: Class 7 girl student faints in school, dies; Stalin announces solatium

Chennai: In a tragic incident, a seventh standard girl student suddenly fainted and swooned in the campus of a Government school and was declared brought dead on being rushed to a hospital.
 
The tragedy took place at the Government Higher Secondary School at Pallathur village near Pattukottai Taluk in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu yesterday, a release by Chief Minister M K Stalin announcing Rs five lakh solatium to her parents, said here today.

The girl, aged 12, was identified as Kavibala , who had fainted and fell unconscious in the school campus.

She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Mr Stalin expressed deep anguish and grief over the young girl's death and said it was an irreparable loss to her parents and their family.
 
Mr Stalin offered his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and announced a solatium of Rs five lakh to her parents from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
