Tamil Nadu Shocker! Woman engineer sexually assaulted in toilet in moving train

A woman engineer was sexual assaulted by a miscreant in an express train while she was travelling from her hometown in Kerala to Chennai.

The incident took place near Katpadi railway station on August 25.

The woman filed a formal complaint with the government railway police at the Chennai Central railway station on Monday.

According to the complainant, the woman, who is employed at a software company in Chennai, went to her native place in Kerala and was returning on an express train in a reserved compartment on 25 August. When she went to the toilet, a stranger who stood there gagged her and pushed her inside the toilet, where he sexually abused her before fleeing.

The incident occurred after the train had departed Katpadi station and was heading towards Chennai Central.

The police have formed a special team to trace the suspect based on the description provided by the woman.
