A shocking incident from Telangana’s Sangareddy district has left many stunned — a 25-year-old woman allegedly took her own life out of fear of ants. According to police, the tragic incident occurred on November 4. The woman, married in 2022, was the mother of a three-year-old daughter. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan with a saree inside her home.
She had been afraid of ants since childhood
Police said that the woman had suffered from a fear of ants since childhood and had even undergone counseling in her hometown, Mancherial. On the day of the incident, she reportedly left her daughter at a relative’s house, saying she would pick her up after cleaning the house.
Suicide note said: “I can’t live with these ants”
When her husband returned home in the evening after work, he found the main door locked from inside. With help from neighbors, he broke open the door and discovered his wife hanging. A suicide note recovered from the scene read:
“I’m sorry, I can’t live with these ants. Please take care of our daughter. Be careful.”
Police believe she might have seen ants while cleaning and, overwhelmed by fear, decided to take the extreme step. A case has been registered at the Ameenpur Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
