'The Economist' suggests Telangana model to emulate for new states: KTR

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday said The Economist, a reputed magazine, has suggested Telangana as a successful model to be emulated by new states.
 
Sharing on ‘X’, KTR said The Economist states that Telangana has achieved phenomenal growth in the past decade under the able administration of KCR (former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao).
 
It emphasised that Telangana’s installed power capacity increased from 7.8 GW to 19.3 GW; IT exports more than quadrupled to 2.4 trillion rupees ($29bn) between 2014 and 2023 ; IT jobs nearly tripled to 900,000 and Contribution to national GDP increased from 4.1 per cent to 4.9 percent within 10 years of state formation, he said.

"Hope the new rulers stop their ‘smear campaign’ against BRS rule and ensure this growth engine chugs along unhindered," he tweeted.
