Jammu: Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Monday triggered a row by questioning 2016 surgical strike by India against Pakistan.

“There is no proof of surgical strikes as claimed by them (GOI),” Singh said while addressing a public rally in Satwari as part of the Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra on arriving in Jammu.

The former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister also targeted the Centre over Pulwama attacks in which 40 CRPF personnel were martyred.

“Pulwama was the hub of terrorism and if every vehicle is checked and frisked at the entry points, then on the fateful day, why the Scorpio coming from an opposite direction was not checked?” said Singh.

“Till date, the information about the incident was neither tabled in the Parliament nor kept in front of the public,” he said. (UNI)
