These are 14 fake baba’s listed by Akhara Parishad

Allahabad: All-India Akhara Parishad, the supreme governing body of 'akharas' (distinct groups of saints and seers) in the country, today in its special meeting released names of 14 babas who have been declared fake including the two jailed on rape charges -- Gurmeet Ram Rahim and Asaram Bapu. The Parishad also declared the controversial Sukhvinder Kaur alias Radhe Maa and Swami Aseemanand, who was jailed for terror act but now out on bail, fake. The Parishad announced Nirmal Baba as fake too.

The special meeting of the Akhara Parishad was attended by 26 saints and sadhus representing 13 Akharas at Baghbabari Math. The Parishad also announced that they will boycott these 14 fake saints and have appealed to the masses not to get attached to these fake babas. Earlier after Dera Saccha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was given 20 years imprisonment in two rape cases, the Akhara Parishad went vocal and had called an emergency meeting to identify the fake saints.

Addressing reporters, Parishad president Mahant Narendra Giri said these fake saints have hurt the Sanatan Dharma and they should be punished. "The names of the 14 fake saints would be sent to the Centre and state governments besides to all the four Sankaracharyas and chiefs of the 13 Akharas so that these people are boycotted," Mahant said. He said these fake saints would not be allowed to get government facilities in Kumbh and Ardh Kumbh mela and other religious fairs and functions.

The list of the fake babas comprises Ashumal Shirmalani alias Asharam Bapu, Sukhvinder Kaur alias Radhe Maa, Sachin Dutt alias Sacchinand Giri, Gurmeet Ram Rahim of Dera Saccha Sauda, Vivekanand Jha alias Om Baba, Nirmalpreet Singh alias Nirmal Baba, Shivmurti Dwivedi alias Icchadhar Bhimanand, Swami Aseemanand, Om Namo Shivaya, Narain Sai (son of Asharam Bapu), Rampal, Bhrispati Giri ,Kushmuni and Malkhan Giri.
