New Delhi: In a bid to strengthen the position in upcoming polls, Finance Minister announced that BJP will provide vaccine for COVID-19 free of cost if retained power in Bihar. As soon as #COVID19 vaccine will be available for production at a mass scale, every person in Bihar will get free vaccination. It has created criticism in all corners of the ecosystem and is being considered to lure the voters. Following the suit other CM's of the state has started making promises of free COVID vaccine.
Free COVID-19 vaccines for MP's poor: CM
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Thursday that the state's "underprivileged sisters and brothers" would be eventually administered novel coronavirus vaccination free of charge. "The 'millennium scourge' has been controlled to a considerable extent in our state," the senior politician conveyed via social media.
Sufferers have been detected in all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh. During the past seven months; 1,64,341 cases came to light and 2,842 succumbed but the silver lining is that 1,49,353 recuperated. Maximum instances were found in Indore and Bhopal districts followed by Gwalior and Jabalpur ? the four account for approximately 45 per cent of the state's caseload.
TN CM announces free COVID vaccine for all in State
Pudukottai:Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday announced that once COVID-19 vaccine is developed, it will be provided free of cost to all people of the State.
"I would like to announce that once the coronavirus vaccine is developed, all people in the State will be immunized and the government will bear the cost," said Mr Palaniswami after chairing a review meeting at the District Collectorate on COVID-19 preventive measures and other development works.
While developed countries are struggling to contain coronavirus, Tamil Nadu has kept it under check, he said and added when compared to neighbouring States, the COVID-19 cases were declining in Tamil Nadu.
Mr Palaniswami's announcement holds significance as the State will go to assembly elections next year.
Tamil Nadu is the second State to announce a free COVID-19 vaccine in the country.Earlier in the day, the BJP had promised free COVID-19 vaccination to all in Bihar in its election manifesto.(UNI)
