Top Politicians paid tribute to Bhagat Singh on birth anniversary

New Delhi: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid their rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary.Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the Vice President said,''I join the nation in paying tributes to Bhagat Singh, a great patriot and freedom fighter on his birth anniversary today. #BhagatSingh''.
''His valor and courage and the great sacrifice made by him for the country's freedom  will continue to inspire every Indian for all times.The nation is ever grateful to the iconic nationalist.
#BhagatSingh,'' Mr Naidu tweeted.
 
The PM said in a tweet,''Shaheed #BhagatSingh's name is synonymous with valour and sacrifice. His courageous actions continue to motivate millions. He remains among the most popular icons in the minds of the youth. I bow to this great son of Mother India on his Jayanti.''
Bhagat Singh was an Indian socialist revolutionary whose two acts of dramatic violence against the British in India and execution at age 23 made him a folk hero of the Indian independence movement.
 
Kejriwal pays tribute to Bhagat Singh
 
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday paid tributes to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary.
 
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Kejriwal said,''Salute to the great revolutionary Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. His life and sacrifice are a source of inspiration for every Indian.''

Amit Shah, Rajnath pay tributes to Bhagat Singh
 
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday paid their rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his 112th birth anniversary.
 
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Shah said,''Through his patriotism, Bhagat Singh ji had spread throughout the country an idea and inspired every section for the freedom struggle. With his indomitable courage, ideals and unique patriotism, martyr Bhagat Singh became the inspiration for everyone. I bow to Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary.''
 
The Defence Minister tweeted,''Remembering the courage and the supreme sacrifice of India's valiant freedom fighter, Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh on his jayanti. His immense contribution in India's freedom struggle will always be remembered. I offer my heartfelt tributes to him on his jayanti.''
