TRAGIC! UP teen dies of electric shock during kite catching attempt as Chinese manjha touches high-tension wire

A teenager tragically died of electrocution after the Chinese manjha attached to a kite he was trying to catch came in contact with a high-tension power line in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur.

The incident occurred in Amardeep Colony, when 15-year-old Tushar Dhamija, a resident of Saharanpur, was visiting his aunt's house.

On Saturday evening, Tushar went to the terrace to catch a kite tied to a Chinese manjha entangled in the wires connected to an electric pole. As he grabbed the string, he received a strong electric shock. His clothes caught fire and he suffered severe burns and fell unconscious. A neighbour spotted him and alerted others, as per reports.

Tushar was initially taken to the district hospital and then referred to AIIMS Rishikesh for further treatment. Despite being placed on a ventilator, he succumbed to his injuries later that night.
