New Delhi:Twitter account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal website and mobile app was briefly hacked on Thursday morning, a Twitter spokesperson said. The Twitter handle 'narendramodi_in' on the microblogging website was hacked by some cyber criminals.
Several tweets were posted from the account asking the followers to donate to the PM National Relief Fund through cryptocurrency, which have now been deleted.

Confirming this in a statement, a Twitter spokesperson said it is actively investigating the situation and efforts are being made to secure the account.

"We are aware of this activity and have taken steps to secure the compromised account. We are actively investigating the situation. At this time, we are not aware of additional accounts being impacted," the Twitter spokesperson said.
