Jalandhar: An infiltration bid foiled was foiled when the Border Security Force killed two Pakistani intruders who were trying to sneak into the Indian Territory midnight last night. A spokesperson for the BSF said today that the group of three Pakistani intruders tried to infiltrate into the Indian Territory from the area of responsibility near BoP no. 66/4 Shahpur in Ajnala sector.
One AK-47 rifle, a pistol, two dozen cartridges, one Pakistani sim card, apart from 4 kg heroin and Pakistani currency worth Rs 20,000 were recovered from the slain infiltrators. The value of the heroin recovered is said to be Rs 20 crore in the international market, the spokesperson added.
The BSF personnel, guarding the BoP, challenged the intruders, but they continued to move towards the Indian Territory following which the BSF opened fire, killing two of them, while the third one is reported to have fled towards the Pakistani Territory. (UNI)
