Union Minister Smriti Irani infected with Novel Coronavirus

New Delhi:Union Minister Smriti Irani on Wednesday announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
"It is rare for me to search for words while making an announcement; hence here's me keeping it simple - I've tested positive for #COVID and would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest", the Minister tweeted.
 
Ms Irani is the latest high profile victim of the highly contagious virus. Earlier, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and several Ministers in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet had contracted the deadly virus. (UNI)
