Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday announced both Class X and XII Board results for 2021 for which examinations were not held due to Covid 19 pandemic this year.
In High School , 99.53 per cent students passes while in Intermediate it was 97.88.
However this time too, girls performed better than the boys in both the examinations.
Secondary education director Vinay Kumar Pandey announced the results here on Saturday.
He said the student who are not satisfied with the marks would get an opportunity to give an improvement test later on.
He said the marks scored in standard 9 and 11 along with pre board tests were the basis of the results. Those students, who did not appear in both the exams were, however, promoted.
According to the details in the High School Board of the total 2996031 students, 2982055 have passed with girls scoring 99.55 per cent and boys 99.52 percent. A total of 14015 students failed while 82238 were promoted.
In the intermediate exams, of the total 2610247 examinees, 2554813 have passed with girls percentage was 98.4 and boys 97.47.
A total of 55555 students have failed in the intermediate exams while 62,506 were promoted.
In the first week of June, UP government had announced not to hold physical examination of X and XII Boards due to Covid.(UNI)
