Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government, after introducing NCERT syllabus in the Madarsa Board, has now decided to change the traditional kurta pyjama to shirt pant uniform in the madarsas.
The announcement was made by Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mohsin Raza here on Tuesday.Raza said after implementing the modern NCERT syllabus, now the government would be changing the traditional uniform of the students of the Madarsas."With modern studies, the students should also wear modern uniforms," he said.
Earlier UP government has introduced NCERT syllabus in the Madarsaa with introducing teaching of English, Hindi, Maths and Sciences from this academic session.Calling upon the Muslims to shed their minority mindset, the UP Minister said, "Muslims should at once stop calling themselves as minorities."
He also asked them not to be afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."Modijee is not anti-muslim," he said with giving a strange example that had he Prime Minister been an anti-muslim then he would not have kept beard.
With Lok Sabha elections round the corner, BJP was trying to put a dent in the Muslim vote bank and was trying its best to project PM as well wishers of the minorities.(UNI)
