Etawah (UP): A youth was arrested by the police from the Balari area of Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday for disrespecting the Hindu God Lord Ganesh on social media, a senior police officer said here.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar said during vigilance on social media on July 13 a man posted a video making indecent remarks about Lord Ganesh. He said that based on electronic and manual evidence a case was lodged at Balrai police station.
He said on Sunday the police arrested the accused Vimal Kumar from Gadhokhar crossing.
