Uttar Pradesh: Woman electrocuted boyfriend to death with help of new lover

Pratapgarh (UP): Three persons, including a woman, were arrested by the police allegedly for electrocuting a youth over an illicit love affair from Kotwali Dehat area in Pratapgarh district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, a police officer said here.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Durgesh Kumar Singh said that on October 21 Sunil Maurya lodged a complaint that his brother Ajay Maurya left the house on October 20 night and his body was found in the field the next day. "On the basis of the complaint a case was lodged against 3 named and some unidentified persons," they said.

He said that after investigation the police arrested Arbaaz, Altaf and the woman from Bagh Mirza area. "During interrogation the accused disclosed that the woman was having an affair with Ajay Maurya. In between she developed an affair with Arbaaz after which they decided to kill Ajay," he said.

The ASP said that on October 20 the woman called Ajay and as per the plan the trio electrocuted the deceased. "After this Arbaaz and Altaf threw the body in the field in Sayyedan locality," he said.
